Singapore - Packing & Reaching

12:21 PM

Hello Everyone. This post is a continuation to my original blog post Singapore Diaries

Let us start our journey to Singapore. I would start with packing, flight experience, accommodation and finally reaching Singapore along with all my experience.

Packing

Singapore is situated near the equator and it has high humidity throughout the year and thunderstorms can hit the city anytime. Thus its advisable to carry cap, a water bottle, a pen (for filling all the VISA forms), suncream and an umbrella in your bag-pack.

Time to board flight

I travelled via Malaysian Airlines which costed US $307 for round trip from Bangalore, India. It wasn't a direct flight, we reached KL (Malaysia) in about 4 hrs and then boarded a connecting flight to Singapore. Due to some reason our flight got delayed, but KL airport is just quite amazing and time quickly passed while roaming at the airport, taking pictures, dinner , a nap and browsing internet. Oh yeah internet is available unlimited for free :).

Reached Singapore

Singapore has very good commute system ranging from Buses, metros and cabs. At the airport we tried booking Uber, couldn't do it due to slow internet , and metro was also closed since we reached @ 2 AM Singapore time, thus we booked a local taxi at the airport,  reached our hotel (CitaDines , mount sophia). Taxi's in Singapore are a bit costly and airport transfer costed us around S$25.

Thus after fun filled & tiring journey of 12 hours, we finally reached Singapore and that ended Day Zero for us. I hope you guys enjoy this post, I would be continuing this series with my adventures on Day 1 in Singapore, so do read the same too, and please subscribe to be in touch.

Till then peace out, live the adventure and enjoy life.
